Sherlock: A First Look at the Sherlock Special

As a special event at San Diego Comic Con today, PBS gave fans a sneak peek at the upcoming BBC Sherlock Christmas special:

What are your first impressions of this take on Holmes and Watson? (Personally, I fear that Dr Watson’s mustache is going to steal every scene. It’s epic.)

  1. Carla, You are right about that mustache. It is quite a Production. So far so good. I enjoyed the dialogue between them. I am a die hard fan of Holmes and Watson in Victorian settings.I live in hope for the rest of the tale.
    I thought that the street door would have 221 on it instead of 221B.

    1. I agree. I’m hopeful that it will be an enjoyable tale, though I’m a little nervous to see how it turns out.

  2. I was there on the day they were filming the street scenes, with hansoms and omnibuses and people on the pavements. It’s great to see the overall effect after the post-production! let’s hope that the whole of the special is truly Victorian… the first minute sounds promising.

  3. I enjoyed it–I look forward to seeing how Cumberbatch portrays Holmes, instead of Sherlock.
